Department of Memes first covered the memetic conservative powerhouse contained within singer, songwriter, entertainer, and bad ass individual Kid Rock just over one week ago, and our faith is already being rewarded.
Kid Rock is easily winning against his hypothetical Democratic opponent Debbie Stabenow in a poll for the Michigan senate race, Kid Rock leading by 4%. A great number of voters remain undecided, likely because admitting you want to vote for Kid Rock requires more balls than they can muster.
Debbie Stabenow is the incumbent Democratic Michigan senator who is scheduled to defend her seat in 2018. Ritchie [Kid Rock] intends to run as a Republican who would likely have to defeat a crowded primary field to challenge Stabenow.
To gauge Ritchie’s chances in a hypothetical general election matchup, Delta Analytica conducted a poll from July 14-18 of 668 Michigan residents. Of respondents who stated a preference between Debbie Stabenow and Robert Ritchie, 54% stated they would vote for Ritchie while 46% said they would vote for Debbie Stabenow. These results could indicate that Ritchie is a popular figure in Michigan, Debbie Stabenow is unpopular, or some combination of concurrent trends. The relatively large, 44%, number of undecided respondents may be due to the early stages of the campaign.
As we said in our earlier article on Kid Rock, the man is a hometown hero with instant name recognition all throughout the state. Like President Donald Trump, Kid Rock definitely has the money to finance a political campaign, would almost definitely get insane levels of free media attention, more than any other candidate on either side, and could use his name to draw large audiences that would already be sympathetic to his cause. Further, his celebrity status could entice minority and millennial voters.

In short, Kid Rock could be Donald Trump Part 2: Musical Boogaloo.
