Despite the narrative that one may hear parroted by the mainstream media, there are a lot of people who despise convicted leaker-turned-Antifa activist Bradley/Chelsea Manning.

One such person is former CIA Deputy Director Michael Morrell, who resigned from his post as a senior fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School on Thursday, a day after the university decided to hire Manning as a visiting fellow.

As The Hill reports:

Morell slammed the decision as a step towards legitimizing Manning’s ‘criminal path’ as a leaker of classified information, according to a letter first reported by CBS’s Mosheh Oinounou.

Unfortunately, I cannot be part of an organization — The Kennedy School — that honors a convicted felon and leaker of classified information, Ms. Chelsea Manning, by inviting her to be a Visiting Fellow at the Kennedy School’s Institute of Politics,’ Morell said in a letter addressed to Douglas Elmendorf, dean of the Harvard School of Government.

While the former CIA head acknowledged that his fellowship through the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs is different from the school’s Institute of Politics, he said he has ‘an obligation’ to his both his conscience and country to ‘make the fundamental point that leaking classified information is disgraceful and damaging to our nation.'”

There were immediate murmurings that Morrell made his decision because of internalized ‘transphobia,’ but he was quick to rebuke these claims, writing, “It is important to note that I fully support Mrs. Manning’s rights as a transgender American, including the right to serve our country in the US military.”

Manning was convicted in 2013 of releasing multiple confidential military and State Department documents through Wikileaks (which was praised as a beacon of journalistic integrity by Democrats at the time), but had his/her 35-year sentence commuted by then-President Barack Obama to seven years from her initial imprisonment in 2010.

Barry always sure did have his priorities in order.

Manning would have been a bit out of place joining a group of visiting Harvard fellows that includes former White House press secretary Sean Spicer, former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, and Shillary Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook. But such is political correctness.

Fortunately for the entire community at Harvard, after the issue became a national talking point, Harvard took back its offer to Manning.

“In a lengthy explanation posted online, Douglas Elmendorf, dean of Harvard’s Kennedy School, said the whole thing was a mistake.

‘We invited Chelsea Manning because the Kennedy School’s longstanding approach to visiting speakers is to invite some people who have significantly influenced events in the world even if they do not share our values and even if their actions or words are abhorrent to some members of our community,’ Elmendorf wrote.

‘However, I now think that designating Chelsea Manning as a Visiting Fellow was a mistake, for which I accept responsibility.'”

In other words, the Traitorous Tranny is no longer welcome at Harvard.
