Update: YouTube is systematically deleting any comments that disagree with the propaganda video. Scroll to the bottom of our article to see some of the highlights before they were deleted.
The YouTube video #MoreThanARefugee stitches together various clips of young children and cheerful old men alongside cheerful music to create a rose colored image of refugees without touching on any of the realities, and it is being overwhelmingly disliked and trolled by YouTube users.
The video is located prominently on every page of the website, right next to YouTube’s logo.
As of this article’s publication, the video currently has over 1.5 million views, 48,000 ‘likes’ and 117,000 ‘dislikes’, and the comments are utterly savage.
YouTube will surely say the comments are from a few alt-right hate groups, but there seems to be no end in sight.
It’s safe to say this did not go as planned.
This is not the first time YouTube’s users have revolted against the leftist agenda. Infamously, when the new Ghost Busters trailer was released it became the most disliked video in YouTube’s history.
Maybe YouTube will think again before pushing propaganda on their users.
